Trump reveals secret operation: Over 100 million barrels of oil were safely

US President Donald Trump announced that the US military carried out a secret mission last month to protect oil tankers and other commercial ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz, claiming that the operation allowed the transport of more than 100 million barrels of oil to international markets.

In a post on Truth Social, Donald Trump announced that last month he ordered the US military to carry out a secret mission aimed at supporting oil tankers and other commercial vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world's most important maritime energy transport corridors.

He said the operation resulted in more than 100 million barrels of oil passing through the Strait and reaching the international market, while more than 200 commercial ships made their safe passage.

"Last month, I directed major U.S. military forces to conduct a covert mission to support oil tankers and other commercial vessels through the Strait of Hormuz. Today, I am pleased to announce that this effort has resulted in more than 100 million barrels of oil passing through the Strait and reaching the open market," the U.S. president wrote.

Trump attributed the success of the operation to the control that, as he claimed, the United States exercises in the region.

"This extremely successful effort is due to the fact that the United States of America controls the Strait of Hormuz, not Iran," he said.

In the same post, he launched an attack on Tehran, claiming that the Iranian military has been defeated and that the country's economy has collapsed.

"Their military has been defeated and their economy has been destroyed. For Iran, it is all over," the US president wrote, ending his message with the phrase: "Thank you for your attention to this matter."
