American plan/ Trump disappointed with Zelensky: He has not read the peace proposal yet
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is expected to receive all the documents of the peace plan today, while he will also be informed about the details of the dialogue that his team has conducted with American officials.
The news was confirmed by Ukrainian chief negotiator Rustem Umerov, who announced in a post on Telegram that the Kiev team in the recent talks in the US aimed to receive "full information" on the discussions that Washington has held with Moscow, as well as on the current draft proposals.
According to him, the objective remains unchanged: finding a common path with international partners to end the war.
"Together with all partners, we must do everything possible for a dignified end to this war," Umerov stressed.
Trump attacks Zelensky: He hasn't read the peace proposal yet
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump has publicly attacked Zelensky, accusing him of "not having read" the US peace proposal, considered the basis for negotiations between the US, Russia and Ukraine.
"I am disappointed that President Zelensky has not yet read the proposal," Trump said during an event in Washington, adding that the text had been discussed with both Russian President Vladimir Putin and Kiev.
Trump added that the proposal could favor Moscow. "It serves Russia... Russia would prefer to take the whole country, but I'm not sure it serves Zelensky."
