A 46-year-old man was extradited from Spain today, after being accused of attempting to murder a person in Berat with three other people. The man in question is Ermal Gora.
The people accused of committing the murder were also Hamit Berisha from Kosovo and Arli Shehu.
POLICE ANNOUNCEMENT
A 46-year-old man is being extradited from Spain, who, in collaboration with 3 other citizens, in May 2023, attempted to commit a murder in the city of Berat. As a result of the coordination of actions between Interpol Tirana specialists and Interpol Madrid counterparts, the procedure for the extradition from Spain to Albania of the internationally wanted Albanian citizen, Ermal Gora, 46 years old, resident of Tirana, was finalized, within the framework of the "The Wanted" operation.
The First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Berat has imposed the security measure "Arrest in prison" on him, for the criminal offenses of "Providing conditions and material means to commit murder" and "Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition", committed in collaboration.
This citizen is suspected of having, in May 2023, in collaboration with 3 other citizens, attempted to kill 1 citizen.
The criminal incident was prevented as a result of the intervention of the Berat Police, as part of the "Objective" operation.
The procedural materials were passed to the Berat General Jurisdiction Prosecutor's Office, for further actions.
