President Trump reacts to shooting at White House dinner: The perpetrator was neutralized by the Secret Service

United States President Donald Trump has revealed new details about the shooting incident that occurred during the White House Correspondents' Dinner, describing it as an attack on an important event for free speech.
Speaking from the White House, accompanied by senior security officials, Trump said that a gunman had attempted to pass through a security checkpoint while carrying several weapons.
According to him, the perpetrator was neutralized by US Secret Service agents, whom he described as “very brave.” During the intervention, one agent was injured, but managed to escape thanks to his bulletproof vest.
"A man armed with several weapons attempted to get through security. He was neutralized by very brave members of the Secret Service," Trump said, adding that the suspect is now in custody.
The president described the perpetrator as "a very sick person," noting that he had advanced rapidly from about 50 meters away before security forces intervened.
Meanwhile, the investigation has also expanded to California, where authorities have arrived at the suspect's apartment to collect additional evidence.
Trump also confirmed that he himself was not injured, while announcing that the event would be rescheduled for a later date. He added that the experience was traumatic for First Lady Melania Trump.
