Strong earthquake in Crete, here's the magnitude

Greece is not resting on its laurels from earthquakes. The past week has seen dozens of powerful seismic tremors, with epicenters ranging from the western Ionian coast to the southern island of Crete.

Another earthquake, this time more powerful than the first, was recorded this morning (February 8) in Crete.

According to experts, the strength of the tremors was 4.8 magnitude and the epicenter was off the coast of Crete.

"Protothema" informs that the epicenter was 44 kilometers west of Paleochora, Chania, while the focal depth was estimated at 27 kilometers, according to the Geodynamic Institute's Automatic Solution.

There are no reports of damage or injuries, but the impact force is considered moderately strong.
