The 30-year-old was arrested and handcuffed after driving a vehicle armed with an automatic firearm and possessing an unlicensed shotgun in his apartment.
An automatic firearm, a single-shot shotgun, ammunition and a vehicle were seized.
Continuing the work of providing information and cracking down on cases of illegal possession of weapons, the services of the Maliq Police Commissariat, based on the information obtained that a citizen was circulating armed, organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Sovjani".
As a result of the operation, in the village of Sovjan, Maliq, the Police services found a vehicle on a road between agricultural plots, in which the armed citizen was suspected of being traveling, and stopped it for inspection.
During the search of the vehicle, the Police found 1 automatic firearm.
Also, during the search of his apartment, a single shotgun and a small amount of combat ammunition were found.
The illegal items, along with the vehicle, were seized as material evidence.
At the end of the procedural actions, citizen BB, 30 years old, resident of the village of Sovjan, Maliq, was arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offenses "Unlicensed possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition" and "Unlicensed production and possession of hunting and sporting weapons".
The procedural materials were referred to the Korça Prosecutor's Office for further action.
