Protest for Zvërnec ends/Citizens call in the square: More tomorrow!

Citizens' protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office against construction in Zvërnec continued for the third day in a row.
In a protest that lasted more than 3 hours, citizens demanded the cancellation of construction in Zvërnec as well as the resignation of Rama and the government.
At the rally held in front of the Prime Minister's Office, citizens chanted slogans such as "Rama in prison, Berisha in prison", "Albania of Albanians, death to traitors", and "Albania is not for sale" while demanding the halt to the project in Zvërnec.
Amidst the banners, slogans, and speeches held during the rally, protesters have articulated a series of demands, ranging from the cancellation of the Zvërnec project to the resignation of the entire government.
According to the organizers, the protest is not only related to Zvërnec, but to a series of decisions and laws that, according to them, have favored investors to the detriment of the public interest.
In their statement, the protesters demanded
The protesters emphasized that these are demands related to the protection of national interests and that they do not accept negotiations over Albanian property.
"We do not accept negotiations over Albanian assets. We call on every Albanian to join this civic effort , " they said.
The next protest will be held tomorrow at 6:00 PM as citizens call for increased participation.
