Other details come to light regarding the international operation, by the Italian Antimafia and SPAK, which led to the execution of 10 security measures.
Four people were arrested in Albania and six in Italy, while the group is accused of money laundering, as well as a number of other criminal offenses.
The investigation concerned the murder of Francesco Diviesti, a hairdresser from Barletta, found dead in the village of Canosa di Puglia on April 25, 2025, as well as an organized group, based in Tirana, accused of international money laundering from Italy to Albania.
Also, in 2025, around 700 thousand euros, which were said to be dirty money, were seized from this criminal group in Muriqan, while the investigation was left to the Shkodra prosecutor's office.
The group in question had separate roles. According to SPAK, Ergys Kastrati alias Bishja, in collaboration with his wife, is suspected of laundering dirty money.
He was captured in a villa in a residential area during a special forces operation, and had been wanted by the police for 2 years.
Meanwhile, Igli Kamberi, who is also the leader of this group, operated from Italy, and he is also considered the leader of this gang.
His name is accused of the murder of hairdresser Divisti, as well as drug trafficking, but also of several other criminal events.
