The First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Elbasan has imposed and executed the security measures "Obligation to report to the judicial police" and "Prohibition on leaving the country" against three former state officials.
These are citizens Glodian Ahmetaj, Klevis Hoxha and Devis Ago, who were the former director of the AMP branch in the Southeast and the former head of the sector. They are suspected of the criminal offense of "Coercion by threat or violence for the provision of property", committed in collaboration.
According to the investigations, launched on the basis of material received for competence by the Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK), there is a suspicion that the former officials, while performing their duties, have used their functions to exert pressure on a citizen who manages a commercial entity.
It is suspected that they have coerced citizen AB through violence, with the aim of unjustly benefiting from his property and influencing the failure to conduct controls on the entity he administers.
The Prosecution Office announces that investigations are continuing with priority, in cooperation with the Police Supervision Agency, for the full documentation of the suspected criminal activity.
