Customs checks at gas stations in Elbasan, "Eida" and "Gega" caught with violations

The Customs Administration has undertaken a control action in the hydrocarbon sector in the city of Elbasan, within the framework of the operational plan for monitoring the energy products market.
According to the announcement, the action was carried out based on a risk analysis, which identified two entities operating in the fuel trade and for whom there were suspicions of evading legal and customs obligations.
Initially, the entities were monitored remotely, during a preliminary inspection phase where reasonable suspicions were raised about the use of irregular documentation and the failure to fully declare the activity.
After this phase, a task force of inspectors carried out field checks to verify the situation.
From the verifications carried out at the controlled entities, a number of violations were found, from the failure to issue invoices for transactions carried out, undeclared employees, as well as goods without invoices.
The inspectors also found that the price list was not displayed and that business data was not updated.
For the violations found, the relevant penalties were imposed in accordance with the legislation in force.
The authorities also announced that irregular documentation was seized from the two controlled entities, which will serve for further administrative verifications.
