Road accidents, the leading cause of trauma, peak during lunchtime

The number of cars on our roads increases every day, and with them the number of accidents. Drivers who rush, do not respect the rules of the road, traffic lights, white lines, and often drive drunk. Road accidents in our country remain the main causes of trauma and loss of life.

From January to now, over 1900 road accidents have been recorded, some of which have unfortunately resulted in loss of life.

According to a study conducted by the National Emergency, Tirana holds the first place for the highest number of accidents. Lunch time and the time when the administration leaves work are the peak times for accidents in the capital. But why does this happen according to Skënder Brataj, the head of the emergency?

While at night, accidents have more serious consequences. Young people are mainly the source and victims of accidents, after various parties where alcohol and narcotics are consumed. At the beginning of the tourist season, Brataj talks about a cooperation plan between the emergency services and the police.
