New details have emerged from the disappearance of 34-year-old Egland Koçi on June 4, where the suspect is his close friend, Armand Shakaj.
Enea Zyferi, who was left in prison as a supporter of the author, has denied being involved in the kidnapping of Eglant Koç.
In the courtroom, Zyferi stated: I work in Armand Shakaj's bar as a waiter, on the day the prosecution says I saw Eglanti when he entered the bar because I know him, after that I didn't see him again, whether he had left or not. Meanwhile, Armand Shakaj told me to turn off the lights in the bar, because he was going to take out a refrigerator, I turned off the lights. The next day, Armand told me to go wash the car in a place far away, somewhere at the end of the new boulevard. I went there and the police caught me. I have nothing to do with this incident.
Sources from the Tirana Prosecutor's Office have reported that after the lights were turned off, security cameras showed Armand Shakaj pulling something that looked like a black bag, which he put in his car and drove away. Followed by cell phones, it turns out that he traveled towards the Dajti area, towards the Xibri area where it is suspected that he may have hidden the body. The police and the prosecutor's office are searching the entire mountain with dogs in order to find the body, but so far without result.
