Separated from his partner, the Latvian national basketball player ends his life

The famous Latvian basketball player, Jānis Timma, has passed away in Moscow, as reported by basketneës.lt. The body of the 32-year-old was found on the stairs of an apartment in Moscow.

Ukrainian media Meduza reports that Russian news agencies Tass and RIA Novosti have confirmed Timma's suicide. It is reported that Timma has not psychologically overcome the separation from his partner, undertaking the act of self-sacrifice.

In October, Timma decided to continue his basketball career by participating in a tournament organized by the Russian betting company "Liga Stavok", where he represented the "Alikson" team.

Timma, who played his first match with the national team in 2014, has played 35 official matches with the national team of Latvia, scoring 338 points. In total, the basketball player has participated in 56 games with the national team, scoring 513 points.
