German Chancellor Friedrich Merz has published footage from the reception of the Ukrainian and American delegations in Berlin.

The video shows Merz initially greeting Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and informing him that the American delegation has arrived, then warmly welcoming US special representative Steve Witkoff and the US president's son-in-law, Jared Kushner.

"We want lasting peace in Ukraine. Difficult challenges await us, but we are determined to move forward. Ukrainian interests are also European interests ," Merz writes.
