Italian football is in mourning. The famous former midfielder and one of the symbols of Inter, Evaristo Beccalossi, has passed away at the age of 69.

Beccalossi passed away in a clinic in Brescia, his hometown, where he had been hospitalized for a long time at the Poliambulanza. The former footballer would have turned 70 on May 12, but his health had deteriorated significantly over the past year, following a serious health problem suffered in January 2025, which had left him in a coma for a long time.

Known for his talent and vision in midfield, Beccalossi was a beloved figure for the black and blue fans and one of the names that left his mark on the history of the Milanese club. Before moving to Inter, he had also played for his hometown team, Brescia.

His death marks a great loss for Italian football and for all those who remember him as one of the most elegant midfielders of his generation.
