Leonardo DiCaprio has openly criticized the use of artificial intelligence in Hollywood, saying that “there is not a single shred of humanity in it.” The 51-year-old actor, recently named Entertainer of the Year by TIME magazine , said that true art should only come from the human hand and mind.
In his interview, DiCaprio also touched on the recent trend of AI-generated videos featuring deceased celebrities “performing” modern songs. He admitted that these clips may seem interesting at first, but according to him, “they disappear like all the internet trash once they go out of style.”
"There's no emotional connection to it. No matter how brilliant they look, they're not real art," the actor declared.
DiCaprio also spoke about the great challenge of maintaining privacy, a struggle that has accompanied him throughout his career. He said that in order to have a long career, he has learned to stay out of the spotlight as much as possible, appearing in public only when he has something to say or promote.
