The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has responded harshly to his former MP Ervin Salianji after the latter's meeting with the DP structures in Durrës, where he requested the party's renewal.
The high participation in that meeting led Berisha to describe it as a personal agenda for Salijanj, as he recalled that the former MP has an area where he needs to conduct analysis.
"No MP has started any speech. Please correct it. Yes, there is a member of the presidency, who has a personal agenda, I wish him to continue it as long as he wants. There is a member of the presidency, who is co-opted into the presidency, who has not raised any of these problems in any presidency meeting, who has an area in the Kombinat in charge of analysis and all. He will have a personal agenda, he will continue it until the end. I know what the hall was like," said Berisha.
Although he did not answer the question of whether he would expel Salianji, Berisha did not recognize his contribution to the victory in the Kavaja Municipality two years ago.
"He is in charge, he has an area where he has to do the analysis, he has participated in the analysis in that area, he is a member of the leadership. He has the right to put everything in the leadership and everything in the area where he is assigned. Choice is the essence of freedom. He has made that choice, let him enjoy the choice", Berisha continued.
