The meeting of the Presidency of the Democratic Party was accompanied by tensions between Presidency member Ervin Salianji and the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, and the Secretary General of the Democratic Party, Flamur Noka.

After the meeting ended, in a statement to the media, Salianji expressed regret that the Presidency meeting shifted the focus away from the protest.
