Ervin Salianji spoke this Monday about the race in the Democratic Party with Sali Berisha and the April 17 protest.

Invited to "Studio24", Salianji stated that the April 17 protest failed because it did not gather many people. For him, Berisha has now become an obstacle for the opposition and the language of communication must be changed, as it can no longer be said that Rama was terrified.

For him, the DP is in a weaker state than 4 years ago.

" In terms of content, it does not bring anything new. The protest is necessary. The expectations raised by Berisha reduce its value. Whether from the language that Rama will no longer be there this week, the last kilometer, or the language afterwards, an outdated language that harms the opposition. It cannot be said that the regime was terrified and Rama does not know where to go.

A new language of communication is needed. Berisha has his contributions, but now he is insufficient, even now he is harmful. Great speed is needed, a strong confrontation is needed. We have 13 years and we are much weaker than before. All the elements related to the deformation of the will of the voters are the same as in 2021 and 2025. A mistake with the selection of candidates for MPs. One of the reasons why the protest was weak in participation was the avoidance of people in structures that have a contribution. The DP gathers so many people in one city. An absolute new strategy was needed.
