The MP of the Opportunity Party, Erald Kapri, paid attention in his speech in the Assembly to the situation of order and security in the country.
While speaking from the podium, the legislator said that in the past month, 4 mafia assassinations have occurred in Albania, including in Rinas, which should be the safest place in the country, while the Director General of Police, Ilir Proda, is not resigning or providing explanations.
The same situation, according to him, also occurs with the Minister of Interior, who refuses to speak and does not dare to hold the police chief accountable.
"In just 30 days we have 4 mafia murders and I don't understand how the ministry says there is security. I don't understand how organized crime commits criminal acts, even in the safest place in Albania where the country's prime minister also visits. The Director General refuses to resign. The Minister should take a stand but refuses to give explanations, the state has fallen, we are a place where mafia assassinations are carried out. The Minister doesn't dare call the Director General of Police, it has never happened. The Director General of Police is not accountable to anyone," said Kapri.
The opposition lawmaker also addressed the lack of security in schools, mentioning the Durrës incident where several students were injured after a fight.
"The incident happened at the Durrës school, children were injured there and no one is speaking out, no one is giving explanations. Security in schools does not exist and the Minister of Interior again does not react, does not speak out and does not explain. There are all these assassinations, a businessman is killed with a sniper, an assassination takes place in Rinas. Parents are afraid to even watch TV because they are afraid of seeing that something has happened to their child," the MP continued his speech.
In the end, he accused the majority that no one is responsible for this disastrous situation, underlining that as long as this government exists, there will be no solution, as it only comes with votes.
"No one is responsible. Gang leaders make the law in Albania. A different approach and solution is needed, and the solution is political. As long as we have Rama as prime minister, there will be no solution because with them he holds power, he is part of them, and the only solution is the vote," concluded Kapri.
