''The Assembly should approve SPAK's request''/ Xhemal Gjunkshi: Belinda Balluku must face justice

Former DP MP Xhemal Gjunkshi has reacted after SPAK asked the Assembly today to remove the mandate of Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku.
Balluku has been charged with violating equality in tenders.
Gjunkshi writes that the Parliament should approve SPAK's request and Belinda Balluku should face justice.
The Belinda Balluku post
is not an isolated case. She is a direct product of Edi Rama's governance model, a model where power is concentrated, control disappears and abuse becomes the norm.
If there are thefts, affairs and violations of the law in the sectors she has led, the political responsibility lies with Edi Rama, who has appointed, protected and empowered her for years.
It is not enough to sacrifice a minister to save the prime minister.
The responsibility does not stop with Balluku, it starts with Rama.
Albania needs equal justice and an end to impunity, not political alibi.
It is now in the honor of the Albanian Parliament to approve the removal of Balluku's mandate.
This is how it works in democratic countries. Otherwise, it would be unacceptable and a scandal of great proportions. Politics cannot protect someone accused of corruption from justice.
