He signed it, Flamur Noka becomes "regretful" for Endri Shabani: We do

Democratic MP, Flamur Noka, reiterated in the Assembly the position of the opposition, which withdrew its signature from Endri Shabani's candidacy to run for the position of Ombudsman.

Noka said that the opposition does not recognize 'Surrel's rabbit', as he called Endri Shabani, as a candidate supported by the DP.

Noka: On December 2, after the Laws Committee decided that a deputy cannot sign more than one name, the Parliamentary Group sent a request to withdraw all signatures for each candidate.

You love Surrel's rabbit, because he should be the advocate for Surrel and the party, not the advocate for the people.

It's your issue, you choose, but not us. The lawyer will be for the party and for Surrel, but he is not the lawyer of the People.

Edi Rama has ordered you to seize everything, you know no limits, you seize money, you seize taxes, you seize people and disappear.

The opposition does not recognize Surrel's rabbit, Endri Shabani, as a candidate supported by it.

We recall that the opposition declared a few days ago that it would withdraw from the process, accusing the socialist majority of trying to dictate the name that would be chosen from a list of 6 names supported by the signatures of opposition MPs, while refusing to accept the withdrawal of MPs from these signatures.

Ignoring the withdrawal of the DP parliamentary group from their support for the candidates, the Laws Committee unilaterally approved, with only the votes of the Socialists, a report for the plenary session that included the six candidates who had collected these signatures.

The Ombudsman is elected with 84 votes, requiring a prior political consensus, and according to previous parliamentary tradition, this position was proposed by the opposition.

This time too, the Socialist Party had publicly promised that the opposition would be the one to propose the candidates and that it would vote for one of them, but the DP withdrew its support with signatures and demanded that the process be carried out with consultation between the parties until the name that would become the new lawyer was selected and not left to chance in the voting session.

The names that were approved by the Laws Committee to be voted on in the plenary session are; Adriana Kalaja, Aranita Brahaj, Besim Ndregjoni, Skënder Haluci, Taratar Bazaj and Endri Shabani, who had collected more than 28 signatures from opposition MPs.

But the DP announced on Tuesday its withdrawal from the new lawyer's election process, considering it a "farce" and "intrigue", while the signatory MPs have officially filed their withdrawal from the supporting signatures in the Assembly.

"We presented several candidacies, they also added their candidacies. It is Endri Shabani," said the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, revealing the reason for this conflict, which seems to be related to the name of candidate Shabani, former leader of the "Thurje" party, who, although he had the signatures of the Democratic Party, is considered the majority's preference to take on the position of Ombudsman.

Even though over more than 3 years there have been dozens of candidates who have offered themselves for this position and the legal procedure has gone all the way to a plenary session, the Assembly has not been able to choose a name.

In the first process, the majority voted down the opposition candidates in a plenary session, while in the second process, the chairman of the socialist group at the time, Niko Peleshi, requested a postponement of the vote until a consensus was found on the name, and none of the candidates made official with the support of the votes of the deputies were put to the vote.
