When the regime provokes and the opposition sabotages, the Citizen must

Three weeks of protest. Three weeks of hope. Three weeks of trying to awaken a nation that has been accustomed to enduring for many years. And right now, as the protest is entering its most delicate phase, the attack on it is coming from all sides.

From the government and its propaganda. From the old opposition that is afraid of the new. From patronageists, spies, provocateurs, undercover police and every interest that is afraid of an intelligent and free citizen. History teaches us that when power cannot stop a movement, it tries to divert it. This is how provocations arise. This is how incidents arise. This is how scenarios arise.

Yesterday it was the Israeli flag, then it was Osman Stafa. Tomorrow there will be another event that will try to divert attention from the main question:

Why are Albanians protesting?

Don't be fooled.

When the debate strays from corruption, poverty, state capture, youth exodus, and hopelessness, then someone is forcefully pushing the protest into a dead end.

Albanian history has seen fabricated provocations to justify repression before. Therefore, citizens must be wise, calm, and vigilant.

Three truths that do not change:

A provocation can light a night, but it cannot stop a people.

A regime can buy silence, but it cannot buy conscience.

An opposition can disappoint, but it cannot kill the hope of citizens.

Today Rama and Berisha have a common fear. Not each other. They fear the citizen who is no longer obedient. They fear the young person who is not sold. They fear the protest that is not controlled. That is why they attack. That is why they divide. That is why they slander. That is why they try every day to tire and disorient the protest.

But one thing has already happened and there's no going back: civic awareness.

This is the biggest victory of this protest.

The regime has been discredited before the world. The myth of invulnerability has been shattered. Fear has changed camp. And that is why today nervousness is in power, not in the square.

Don't let anyone use you. Don't let anyone provoke you. Don't let anyone steal your cause. Hold high only the National Flag and the demand for change. Because the battle is not for a party. It is not for a leader. It is not for a microphone.

It is for Albania.

And the question that hangs over every Albanian today is this: What path should the protests take to win?

Neither Rama nor Berisha can decide this. Only free citizens can decide this.
