Oil prices rise over 3%/ Intensify significantly after reports of attacks near Hormuz

Oil prices rose sharply on Thursday, following rising tensions between the United States and Iran, linked to reports of military attacks near the Strait of Hormuz.
Brent crude rose $3.51, or 3.72%, to $97.80 a barrel.
While US WTI oil rose by $3.31, or 3.73%, to $91.99 per barrel.
According to reports, Iran has announced that it has targeted a US air base in response to a US attack near Bandar Abbas airport.
On the other hand, American sources report that the US military has carried out attacks on Iranian targets that are considered a threat to its forces and to maritime traffic in the region.
The situation has added uncertainty to global energy markets, particularly due to the strategic role of the Strait of Hormuz in oil supplies.
Just a day earlier, prices had fallen significantly, following hopes of easing tensions between the two countries.
Analysts say the market remains sensitive to any developments in the region, while the decline in US oil reserves has also contributed to the increase in prices.
