Tirana Police announced today (June 17) that they have arrested a 41-year-old man accused of double wounding, an incident that occurred in Paskuqan.
The arrested person is Ylli Murati, who was caught moving around the capital armed.
Also during the operation, 1 firearm (pistol), its magazine with cartridges, dozens of other cartridges of different calibers, 1 cold weapon (knife), a quantity of suspected cocaine and the "Benz" vehicle driven by the detainee were seized from 41-year-old Ylli Murati.
2 weeks ago, in Paskuqan, the 41-year-old man is suspected of stabbing EQ and AV during a brief conflict. He was arrested on 'Mine Peza' street.
According to information, the 41-year-old had long been under surveillance as a drug distributor, mainly in the "Don Bosko" area.
Since June 2, he had been wanted as a suspect for injuring 2 people, an event that occurred as a result of a momentary conflict.
According to the injured, the cause was a car overtaking that ended in a knife fight. It is also learned that Ylli Murati is the brother of Fatjon Murati, the latter a person who has been charged by the justice system for serious criminal offenses and has escaped assassination attempts.

As a result of the operational and non-operational work, carried out with the aim of locating, capturing and detaining wanted citizens, as well as citizens who violate public security by moving armed or carrying other illegal items, specialists of the Narcotics Investigation Section, in cooperation with the services of the "Eagle" Special Forces Sector, finalized the operation codenamed "Crossroads", during which citizen YM, 41 years old, was arrested.
As part of the operation, a vehicle driven by a 41-year-old man was stopped for inspection on "Mine Peza" street. 1 firearm (pistol), its magazine with cartridges, dozens of cartridges of different calibers, 1 cold weapon (knife) and a quantity of suspected cocaine were found in the vehicle.
The 41-year-old was wanted after, on June 2, 2026, it is suspected that during a momentary conflict, he injured citizens EQ and AV with a cutting tool (knife), at the Paskuqan bridge.
The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action."
