Law on the financing of political parties, Venice Commission publishes report on Albania

The Venice Commission gives its opinion on Albania regarding the law on the financing of political parties.

The report states that political parties should continue to consult, while adding that a fairer distribution of financial resources for parties is needed. According to the commission, the detailing of all resources should be determined by law.

The draft also highlights that some provisions need to be further clarified.

While it is underlined that oversight by the CEC should be strengthened and that it is essential that the CEC have resources for control.
