Assassination of Iran's number two, Israeli Foreign Minister: There was a $10 million bounty on Larijani's head, but we did it for free! - List of those eliminated
Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar spoke in a particularly harsh manner about neutralizing Ali Larijani, Iran's number two.
During a press conference, Sa'ar referred to the $10 million that Washington had announced last week for information that would lead to the secretary of Iran's Security Council, as well as other senior officials.
"There was a $10 million bounty on Larijan's head... but we did it for free," Sa'ar stressed, confirming the neutralization of a very important figure in the regime.
A few days ago, the State Department announced that through the US State Department's "Rewards for Justice" program, it would offer up to $10 million for those who would provide information on "Iranian leaders of terrorist organizations."
Informants would be selected for relocation, perhaps outside of Iran as protected witnesses.
"These individuals command and direct units of the Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), which plan, organize and carry out terrorist acts around the world," the poster says.
Among the officials the US was seeking information about, in addition to Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, were:
– Intelligence Minister Esmail Khatib
– Deputy Chief of General Staff Ali Asghar Hejazi
– Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi
– Brigadier General Eskandar Momeni
– Secretary of the Supreme Council Ali Larijani
