Online scandal: American YouTuber throws 7-year-old son off a cliff

A video uploaded to social media by a famous YouTuber from the US has been making the rounds around the world in recent hours. The video shows Garret Gee, who appears to be throwing his 7-year-old son off a high cliff into the sea.
The 35-year-old family travel content creator and father of three justified his action, saying he had to find a way for his son to overcome his fear.
The video was uploaded to Instagram last Sunday and divided the American influencer's followers, as many called him irresponsible for his parenting methods. However, despite the strong public reactions, Gee clarified that the reason for his viral post was not to give parenting advice, nor because he believes others should follow such methods with their children.
“This is not something I have done with all my children,” he explained. “Every child is different, so the way we raise them, discipline them and teach them how to jump off a cliff is quite different.”
He then explained to his 436,000 followers that, while he prioritizes his family's safety, whenever he gets the chance, he teaches them to do difficult things that they enjoy.
