Bayer Leverkusen criticizes Real Madrid: "Xabi Alonso has been left alone"...

Xabi Alonso's difficult situation at Real Madrid has not gone unnoticed in Germany and the Bundesliga, the league from which the Basque coach came to take charge of the Bernabeu team.
More specifically, this situation has been worrying at Bayer Leverkusen, the club where he began his coaching career. Now, Fernando Carro, the German club's executive director, has expressed his concern about the Real Madrid coach's current situation.
"During the international break, I spent a weekend in Madrid, and the Spanish coaching staff visited us twice at home. We have a very good relationship; after all, during those three years we were like a family," Carro commented in an interview with Sky.
"I also know that they follow our games and we follow theirs; we follow each other. Tomorrow (Sunday) I will watch Real Madrid, and today (Saturday) I am sure they will watch Leverkusen-Cologne. We have a lot of love for each other and we keep in very close contact," added the Leverkusen president.
Fernando Carro did not mince words when criticizing Real Madrid, after seeing Alonso being questioned: "We know that he is a coach with extraordinary talent, but he is facing a different context in Madrid.
"If the president says that a coach is a necessary evil, if the coach is left alone and is always the one receiving criticism, then the situation is very different from what he experienced at Leverkusen, where we all pulled in the same direction and did not leave the coach politically isolated."
If Real Madrid's crisis deepens, Xabi Alonso already knows there will be a place for him at his former club, as the executive director himself admitted, who would also be delighted to welcome back Wirtz, who is also facing uncertainty at Liverpool: "The door is open. If they both want to return, they can do so at any time."
