February 28th rally/ Tirana Court releases 4 opposition protesters from prison

The Tirana Court has released from custody 4 protesters arrested for Saturday's opposition protest.

The suspects Leonardo Marku, Robespier Dervishaj, Doris Rista and Sergei Rapo have been ordered to "compulsory appearance" before the Judicial Police Officer twice a month.

The arrested were accused of several criminal offenses, including "Strikes in the line of duty", "Disturbing public peace", "Violation of rules on explosives and flammable substances", "Destruction of property by fire" and "Opposing a law enforcement officer".

According to the Police, during the protest they threw Molotov cocktails and pyrotechnics at the officers and the building known as Vila 31, at a time when foreign citizens were inside, endangering their safety. As a result, damage was caused to the building, as well as 32 garbage bins placed by the Municipality of Tirana.
