"Golden Ball 2025"/ "Red and Black Heart" Trophy awarded to Mario Mitaj

Qualifying for the first time in the play-off phase of the 2026 World Cup was the crowning achievement of a historic year for Albanian football.

The national team managed to secure second place in Group K, where it was drawn with England, Serbia, Latvia and Andorra.

Just like last year at the gala evening, this year one of the National Team players was honored with the “Red and Black Heart” trophy. This award was voted for by all members of the “National Team Fans” club.

This trophy reflects the fans' appreciation for his exceptional performances and dedication to the red and black jersey. The trophy was presented to him by Lorik Cana, the legendary former captain of the National Team.

In a short speech, the defender expressed his happiness and pride at being recognized by the fans with this trophy.
