Italy, pilot loses control, helicopter crashes in Le Prese area. One victim and

A helicopter with four people on board crashed this morning in the Le Prese area, in the municipality of Lanzada, province of Sondrio, Italy.

The incident occurred at around 08:35, when the aircraft lost control and crashed into the ground.

As a result of the accident, one person lost his life. He was urgently transported to the Sondrio hospital, but died shortly after arrival. The other three passengers were slightly injured.

Among the survivors is 60-year-old pilot Maurizio Folini, known for his Everest rescue operations. Folini suffered an injury to his hand, while the other two passengers, a 27-year-old woman and a 54-year-old man, are out of danger.

Italian authorities are investigating the causes of the helicopter crash.
