Serious in Greece/ He was playing, the 10-year-old accidentally falls into an irrigation canal and dies

A tragedy was recorded this morning in Greece, where a 10-year-old boy lost his life after accidentally falling into an irrigation canal and is suspected of drowning.

According to Greek media, the child was found unconscious at around 11:45 in an irrigation canal in the Iraklia area. Immediately after the report, police forces and rescue teams arrived at the scene, while 9 firefighters with 3 vehicles participated in the operation.

The 10-year-old was pulled from the canal and rushed to the Iraklia Health Center, where doctors confirmed his death.

Authorities are expected to conduct an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.

According to preliminary information, there is no suspicion of criminal activity. It is reported that the child was playing nearby in the area when he is suspected of accidentally falling into the canal.
