Police yesterday arrested another person suspected of involvement in the execution of businessman Mondi Mëhalla in Elbasan, an event that shocked the city a few days ago.
The arrest was carried out in Përrenjas, where 33-year-old Nevzat Spaho, a person with a criminal record, was arrested, who according to preliminary investigations is suspected of being the gunman in the murder of the citizen.
Nevzat Spaho was previously convicted by the Elbasan court on charges of "Coercion by threat to take property" and "Unlicensed possession of a weapon".

How did the incident happen?
On Sunday evening (November 30), businessman Edmond Hyka alias Mondi Mëhalla was executed inside his Range Rover. The 43-year-old's body was found inside the car at around 8:35 p.m., in the "Emin Matraxhiu" neighborhood of the city of Elbasan. The victim had just left his office, near which his mother's businesses and home are located.
The moment he got into the car, he was shot with a gun and received three bullets, two of which in the head, causing his instant death. Police services then arrived at the scene, setting up checkpoints at all exits of the city, while checks were carried out in the area and in various premises to catch the perpetrators.
Also, the vehicle used by the perpetrators is suspected to have been a black Audi, which sped away in the direction of the Elbasan-Librazhd road axis.
The assailants, after ensuring that the 43-year-old had died, fled in a black Audi towards the Elbasan-Librazhd axis. The police meanwhile announced that a special investigative group, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, has begun work to clarify the circumstances of the crime and fully document the event.
