NAMES/ Competition for judge in the Constitutional Court opens, list of 10 candidates revealed

The Presidency has officially announced the launch of the application procedure for the competition for the appointment of a new member of the Constitutional Court.
As announced by the Presidency, at the end of the application deadline, there are 10 candidates who have expressed interest in the vacant position.
The candidates are: Alaudin Malaj, Alban Toro, Alma Faskaj Vokopola, Arta Vorpsi, Brunilda Bara, Genci Gjonçaj, Jordan Daci, Lulzim Hamitaj, Naureda Llagami and Roland Ilia.
Presidency Announcement:
In accordance with Articles 93, 125, 127, point 1, letter “b” of the Constitution, as well as Articles 7, 7/a, 7/b of Law No. 8577, dated 10.2.2000, “On the Organization and Functioning of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Albania”, as amended, the President of the Republic, His Excellency Bajram Begaj, in the capacity of the appointing authority, and in order to fill the vacancy created in the Constitutional Court on 25.4.2025, by Decree No. 387, dated 31.10.2025, has approved:
Announcement of the application procedure for the appointment of a judge to the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Albania, in order to fill the vacancy created on 25.4.2025.
After the deadline for accepting applications, the candidates who have expressed interest in filling the vacancy are as follows:
