Tragic accident in Slovenia/ At least 5 victims after a van collides with a truck

A serious accident occurred today on the Styrian highway in Slovenia, where at least five people lost their lives.

The Celje Police Department initially announced that four people were killed and two were injured, but later confirmed that another person died from injuries sustained in the accident.

The accident occurred when the van driver, due to inappropriate speed, hit the back of a truck.

The driver of the van is a Ukrainian citizen, who himself was slightly injured, one of the passengers was seriously injured, and five of them lost their lives.

According to initial police information, the truck driver is a Russian citizen.

Due to the accident, the highway between Tepinja and the Golo tunnel will be closed for a long time.
