Tirana awaits Xhixha's word, 30 official departures in 365 days. The striker must decide on his future

The 2025–2026 season in Tirana has been characterized by a very large wave of departures, with the list including 30 players and affecting almost the entire structure of the team, from the goalkeeper to the attack. The movements are evenly distributed across all departments, indicating a profound change in the team's composition.

There have been several important departures in goal that have affected the entire hierarchy of this department. Gentian Selmani, as one of the most important names, has left along with Angelo Tafasi, Romeo Harizaj and Leon Kozi, significantly reducing the competition for the starting position. Also, Mustafa Abdullahu has left after being loaned out, leaving the department with a completely changed structure compared to the previous season.

BACKGROUND –  The defense is undoubtedly the department most affected by departures, both in number and quality. Florjan Përgjoni, Mahamadu Dembele, Georgios Valerianos, Qendrim Ismajli, Gledi Mici, Ziad Ouled-HajM'hand, Anton Kresic (after loan), Kleandro Lleshi, Ergi Bastari and Diar Halili have left the team. This group includes players with international experience, players formed in regional championships, as well as young elements in development. Their loss has affected both the center of defense and the wings, creating a huge gap in defensive stability and tactical alternatives.

IN THE MIDFIELD –  The departures of Ian Soler, Erisildo Smaç, Tsotne Patsatsias, Hajrulla Tolës and Eliton Zhunior are some of the departures. This department has lost players who covered various roles, from central midfielders with a defensive profile to offensive elements. Attack is the department with the highest number of departures and with the most visible impact on the offensive aspect. Emanuel Ernest (2 times), Walid Zharmuni, Akileu Ndreca, Viktor Fernandez, Abel Abah, Admir Bajrovic, Aldi Gjumsi, Fatmir Prengaj and Alfred Mensah have left the team. These departures have affected both central and wing forwards.

XHIXHA –  The Whites are waiting for the final decision from Redon Xhixha. Sources at the club indicate that the player will be part of the Whites for the new season. However, the striker's signature will take a few more days.
