The great Spanish actress dies!

Actress Marisa Paredes, who gained international fame through her collaborations with director Pedro Almodovar, has died at the age of 78, the Spanish Academy of Cinema announced.

Marisa Paredes began her cinematic career at the age of 14 and during her career appeared in over 75 films.

She was nominated twice for the Goya A' "Cara de acelga" award and once for the "Actresses Guild Best Cast" award for the film "Life is Good".

These films, which established her as one of the most important actresses of Spanish cinema, gave her the nickname "Aaliyah of the Aaliyah".
