Emmys 2025/ 'The Studio' receives 23 nominations

Apple TV+'s "The Studio" has received 23 Emmy Award nominations, the highest number of nominations for a comedy series in its first season.
The previous record was set in 2021 by “Ted Lasso,” which received 20 nominations in its first year, according to Variety. The series won seven Emmys, including three for performances by Jason Sudeikis, Brett Goldstein and Hannah Waddingham and for outstanding comedy.
The satire "The Studio" was created by Evan Goldberg, Peter Huwick, Alex Gregory, Frida Perez and Seth Rogen, who have also been directors, writers and actors.
The series follows a Hollywood studio executive who struggles to balance the demands of corporate life with his passion for making quality films. The cast also includes Catherine O'Hara, Ike Barryholtz, Kathryn Hahn, and others. Seth Rogen received nominations for Outstanding Comedy Series, Lead Actor, Writing, and Directing.
If she wins all four awards, she will tie the record for most Emmy Awards won by a nominee in one night, along with Moira Demos for Netflix's "Making a Murderer" (2016), Amy Sherman Palladino for Prime Video's "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" (2018), and Dan Levy for Pop TV's "Schitt's Creek" (2020).
The Emmy Awards recognize achievements in the television industry and the work of American entertainment program creators and are presented by three organizations: the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (ATAS), the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS), and the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (IATAS).
