The new chairman of the Democratic Party of Albania (DP) in Elbasan is elected

The electoral process for the election of the chairman of the Democratic Party branch in Elbasan has been completed.

At the end of the vote count, Alis Narazani was declared the winner with 477 votes, thus taking over the leadership of the Democratic Party branch in Elbasan.

A new figure in politics and former candidate for MP in the 2025 elections, Narazani managed to secure the greatest support with a platform focused on restoring citizens' trust and reviving the values ​​of the right.

Following him is Sokol Shkëlzeni with 319 votes, currently the political secretary of the DP in Elbasan, who ran a strong race relying on his long experience in party structures.

While Durim Çekrezi, the acting branch president, received 249 votes, aiming for the continuity and consolidation of existing structures.

Also participating in this race were Elior Vila, a lecturer, who secured 88 votes, with a platform for greater openness and transparency of the party, as well as Lumturi Hasa, a doctor and former candidate for MP, the only woman in this race, who received 66 votes, emphasizing the inclusion of young people and women in politics.
