The DP branch in Elbasan has reacted to the expulsion of Doris Madhi from the party leadership.
The following statement states that Doris Madhi was engaged on the side of the PSD in the May 11 elections and not on the side of the DP.
It is further stated that the leadership of the Elbasan branch of the Democratic Party has made a unanimous decision to remove her from the membership lists, due to serious violations in her activities as a member of the Democratic Party.
Statement of the Elbasan Branch of the Democratic Party:
Regarding the reaction of Ms. Doris Madhi, we clarify to the public opinion that:
Ms. Doris Madhi was not involved in the May 11 election campaign on the side of the Democratic Party.
She has been maximally engaged alongside the political entity Social Democratic Party (PSD), making public calls on social networks for democrats to vote for the PSD candidate for the Elbasan district.
During the vote counting process in Prrenjas, Ms. Madhi was engaged as a PSD observer.
In accordance with Instruction No. 01, dated 20.01.2026 and in accordance with the Statute of the Democratic Party, the leadership of the Elbasan branch of the Democratic Party has made a unanimous decision to remove her from the membership lists, due to serious violations in her activity as a member of the Democratic Party.
This decision is based on the principles of transparency and respect for statutory rules, and is made public to clarify the citizens of Elbasan and all democrats.
