Elections in Tirana and 5 other municipalities, CEC proposes date for opening of campaign

The Central Electoral Commission has proposed to the Regulatory Commission the date of November 1 for the opening of the election campaign for the competition in the country's 6 municipalities.

This proposal is still under consultation and has not yet been decided.

According to this proposed draft, for political parties that will participate in the elections, October 11 is proposed as the deadline for submitting the application for registration, while for candidates, October 19 is proposed.

Coalitions have a deadline no later than October 16, while the Civil Registry Office is proposed to begin drafting electoral lists no later than October 11.
