Ervin Salianji has spoken for the first time about his efforts to bring a new spirit to the Democratic Party, which he emphasized is not a private property.
Invited to the show "Trialog", Salianji underlined that he is standing strong in the face of pressure and accusations that have come from Democrats so that Democratic Party supporters do not participate in his meetings.
"I am resisting the shameless pressure by making accusations in every meeting I attend. There are thousands of messages being sent, millions of lek spent by the Democratic Party headquarters, money that should have been used against the government. Every meeting I have held in every city in Albania has been preceded by messages sent by the party leadership, by a number that is central, who spend millions of lek, time, and shame that they do not have to send to make these accusations that they have made everywhere," said Salianji.
Stressing that the Democratic Party is not a private property, Salianji underlined that the behavior of the current leadership shows that it treats the party in its own interest and not in the people's.
Salianji insisted that he would not allow the party to become Berisha's property.
