Not elected Ombudsman, Adriana Kalaja announces appeal of decision to the Constitutional Court

Adriana Kalaja, one of the candidates for Ombudsman, has announced that tomorrow she will file a request with the Constitutional Court to declare the election of Ombudsman invalid and unconstitutional.
Through a post on Facebook, Kalaja announced that it has also requested the suspension of the legal effects of this process, which it claims is unconstitutional and illegal, until the decision of the Constitutional Court is published in the Official Gazette.
"Dear Friends and Supporters.
Wishing you all the best, and thanking you for all the unconditional and unlimited support you have given me regarding my candidacy for the constitutional position of Ombudsman, I inform you that tomorrow, on 29.12.2025, I will file my request with the Constitutional Court with the following subject:
– The finding of the unconstitutionality and invalidity of the election of the People's Advocate by the Assembly of Albania on December 11, 2025.
Likewise, I have also requested the suspension of the legal effects of this unconstitutional and illegal process, until the decision of the Constitutional Court is published in the Official Gazette.
