Trump "consults" with Putin before meeting with Zelensky: Good and very productive conversation

US President Donald Trump said he had a "good and very productive" phone call with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, shortly before a scheduled meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Trump did not provide additional details on the content of the conversation, but in his post on the Truth Social network, he emphasized:

"I just had a good and very productive phone conversation with President Putin of Russia, ahead of my meeting, at 1:00 PM today, with President Zelensky of Ukraine."

According to Trump, the meeting with Zelensky will take place in the main dining room at his Mar-a-Lago residence, while adding that journalists are invited to cover the event.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on the other hand that he had a "detailed" telephone conversation with United Kingdom Prime Minister Keir Starmer, at a key moment for diplomatic efforts regarding the war in Ukraine, before officially arriving in Florida for talks with US President Donald Trump.
