The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, emphasizes that all opposition parties must come together to make it possible for Edi Rama's government to be removed.
From the meeting he is holding with political allies and other representatives, Berisha said that Rama cannot be overthrown from outside, nor through judicial processes, but with the people's vote.
"Organized crime does not allow political rotation. We must rise up in a great effort as citizens to remove this criminal gang and organization, headed by Rama, from power. The idea that they can come and remove him from the outside is wrong, through judicial processes is just as wrong that he will use power to protect his crimes. The only one who cannot escape is the people's judge," said Berisha.
For this reason, said the leader of the democrats, the entire opposition must come together to make political rotation possible. Through the caretaker government, Berisha added, free and fair elections must be made possible. He added that if fair elections are made possible, he is convinced that the DP will come to power.
"I think that in the spirit of the highest responsibility we should come up with a forum, extended opposition, political forces, personalities and whoever is willing to face this regime to save Albania. We are asking for a technical government, simply with two objectives. First, the preparation of free and fair elections. We opposition political forces do not come to power by force, but by the will of the Albanians. We are sure that we will win the elections. If it would not forgive 2 billion euros in fines and interest two days before the elections. If it would not distribute 100 euros to 700 thousand voters..etc. So what do we ask for? To vote freely and calmly. We ask that electoral crime be declared a serious crime and those who stand idly by in the face of electoral crime, otherwise Albania ... history has approved that free elections and democracy are the only system that creates and builds the future. I call on all those who follow us, to fulfill "Our mission: The overthrow of this government and the holding of free elections. Secondly, we have a duty not to obstruct justice. Justice is not infallible, but fairness is not obstructed," Berisha said.
