The Constitutional Court reinstated Balluk, the President of the Criminal Lawyers Association: I did not expect the decision! The destruction of evidence…

Joana Qeleshi, President of the Criminal Lawyers Association, invited to "Studio24" with OlaBruko, stated that she did not expect the decision taken by the Constitutional Court to reinstate the Minister of Infrastructure and Energy and Deputy Prime Minister, Belinda Balluku.
"Whether it is right or not, court decisions are decisions that must be respected.
Personally, I did not expect such a decision because in the first phase of the suspension, it was understood that it would be a decision that would be seen if the case would go to a plenary session. In advance, how long do we have a suspension of a court decision, what will happen in the session, is there an opening of the case or expectations of how it can continue," she said.
Meanwhile, when asked how likely it is that Balluku will tamper with evidence while there is more than a month left until January 22, when the hearing on the merits of the case will be held, Qeleshi stated that Balluku is already in office with full powers, implying that something like this could happen.
"Balluku is truly in office. The Constitutional Court, by suspending the decision of the Constitutional Court, has reinstated Balluku in office, arguing that the suspension brings significant consequences to the functioning of the Council of Ministers. Until the 22nd or even further if the session of the 22nd is postponed, Balluku will be in office with full powers as minister and deputy prime minister," he said.
