Euro-Atlantic Coalition candidate for Durrës, Sami Osmani: Time for new politics represented by honest people!

“I believe it is time for the vote to go to the honest in politics, whether I am him or not, not to bargain with him, not to recycle those who we have had the opportunity to try and have zero results in relation to the Democrats, but also the Albanians.” – this is how Sami Osmani, a candidate on the open list for the Durrës district of the Euro-Atlantic Coalition, writes in a reaction.
Osmani, an early activist of the DP-Euro-Atlantic Democrats, further states that “Albania is showing numerous problems under the leadership of Rilindja where the country's economy is almost in collapse, we have an education system in degradation that is rapidly heading towards destruction, a health system that offers nothing, rampant corruption and this is clearly evident from the operations of SPAK”.

My friends! Many of you know me and know that I grew up with right-wing beliefs, believing that it is the only alternative for a country like ours to get out of the quagmire of transition that was unfortunately poorly implemented among the communists, scattered in several parties, and unfortunately also among us. My friends, You who know me and others who will encounter this post of mine now; as an individual I have tried and my compass has always been to walk on the right path, to give each other a hand to rise and grow and not to put sticks under the wheels, I have not been part of any political bargain or compromise at the expense of the citizens, the specific case of the Durrës i Ri area where I live, but also of Durrës city, district and county level.
As a man raised within our political family, the Democratic Party, I have given my best in every electoral race, producing an impressive result against the opponent. I rolled up my sleeves, I worked for victory without any personal interest. How much the elected officials justified it remains to be judged by our supporters and the citizens of the Durrës district. Personally, believing in the goals that the DP showed from its foundation, since the first years of democracy as a persecuted family, I have lined up as a member of the DP, giving my contribution over the years with the tasks that have been entrusted to me and I am committed to giving my best.
My friends! Today the moment has come for me to challenge myself, to knock on the doors of my fellow citizens to ask for what I have asked for others.
With the proposal of the Euroatlantic Democrats structure, Durrës branch, with the approval of the National Council, I am announcing that I will run in the elections of May 11, 2025 as a deputy for the Euroatlantic Democrats Coalition. I believe it is time for the vote to go to the honest in politics, whether I am him or not, not to bargain with him, not to recycle those who we have had the opportunity to try and have zero results in relation to the Democrats, but also the Albanians. For the Democrats who have been treated as numbers, for the former persecuted who have not felt represented so far, for the honest Albanians of the gray part or even the left, it is time to reflect on a different Albania, for a country where the political-economic oligarchy does not control our lives and makes decisions without asking us. Join the Euro-Atlantic Coalition, vote for the list of candidates who come from you and not appointed by black occult interests as representatives of corruption and crime because tomorrow you will not be able to hold them accountable.

Under the power of Rilindja, the country is in crisis and the only solution, as it has been until now, is to leave Albania and this wound of society must be stopped from flowing.
All those who were entrusted with leadership positions by the SP have used them to enrich themselves and their families, to the detriment of society and the only one responsible is Edvin Rama, as the head of corruption and organized crime. Their corrupt government is under the control of SPAK, where it is being investigated for the injustices committed at the expense of Albanian citizens. Does Edvin Rama have an answer for all this that has been done behind our backs and "behind his backs"?!
My friends! It is time to trust and vote for the list of candidates for deputies of the Euro-Atlantic Democrats Coalition on May 11, 2025 with your vote. This coalition belongs to all Albanians who believe in a safe, developed Albania with responsible politicians for the country they want to integrate into the European Union. Today we are in chaos because of what 34 years of politics have produced, so let us all together return the Albanians to normality, the leadership they deserve.
It is a pleasure to be with you, to be your voice, your support. With great responsibility, let me tell you that together we can succeed in achieving change. The Euro-Atlantic Coalition offers a better alternative to trust in the decisive elections for the governance of the country.
Together we will all do our best.
