Russian killer who hacked his girlfriend to pieces wins freedom after serving in

A killer who tried to hide his girlfriend's body by dismembering her has recently been released in Russia after serving in the Ukraine war.

Sadist Dmitry Zelensky, 41 years old, has won amnesty from the Russian authorities, although he killed and dismembered the body of his ex-girlfriend, 27-year-old Tatiana Melekhina.

Tatiana went missing in 2018, as Dmitry later admitted to strangling her and dismembering her body.

He has already been pardoned for serving an 11-year sentence in a penal colony under the Putin government's "freedom fight" scheme, as exemplified by the recruitment of soldiers there.

The deal for felons calls for six months of service in Ukraine, followed by a pardon and return to normal life.

The relatives of the late Tatiana are reportedly angry that they were not notified of the killer's release.

The victim's sister, Oksana, said: "At his trial, we were told that they would let us know if he was released or where he would be placed, but no one has told us."

While Dmitry's mother, Galina, said: "My son went to war for many reasons - among them to make up for what he had done."
