Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti held a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron, where the focus was on security issues and relations with Serbia.

The meeting was held at the Élysée Palace during a working lunch, where, according to the Prime Minister's Office, NATO's continued role in Kosovo was appreciated, particularly through the KFOR mission, as well as the contribution of the European Union missions.

During the conversation, Kurti emphasized that Kosovo's security is primarily related to the protection of its borders, but also to the strengthening of internal defense capacities. He also spoke about relations with Serbia within the framework of the dialogue in Brussels and the implementation of agreements towards the full normalization of relations.

The meeting also discussed cooperation with Euro-Atlantic allies and the security situation in the Balkan region. European integration and security on the continent were also part of the conversation, with Kurti seeking France's support for Kosovo's European path and membership in international organizations.
